Over the past several years, the time spent playing bridge, laughing and talking about life with Rose, we have learned so much. We will always cherish the insight gained from a member of the greatest generation. She was tough yet kind, wise with a great deal of common sense, but most importantly full of spirit. Rose, that spirit like you has wings and can truly soar.

Jody, Ed and family, Doug, Jessica and I offer our love and prayers to your family and remember Great Aunt Rose as a kind and happy person who was always smiling and had a true love for life. We had the opportunity to visit with her not only in Dunn Center but also in Pennsylvania and in Arizona with grandma and my mom, Marilyn. When Jessica first met her in Arizona she couldnt wait to tell her friends about her Great Great Aunt, because she was the only one who had one:) I always enjoyed her stories about growing up but especially enjoyed hearing about being in the military and a nurse as those were the things we shared in common. May she rest in peace.

Dear Jody, What a fabulous woman your mother was. Her obituary reads like a wonderful novel. How fortunate for you to have her as a mom, and for her to have you as a daughter. May she rest peacefully.

I had the great honor of taking Rose for a very memorable flight on her 90th birthday. Being a family friend and looking up to her as another grandmother, I can truly say she was not only an extremely happy individual but definitely family oriented. Rose was and will continue to be an example of a a true patriot and American hero by evidence of her drive and determination to serve her country in the Marines. I feel blessed being able to call her a friend and as a fellow aviator I was glad to share the cockpit with her on one of her final flights. God speed Rose.

Mom enjoyed so much playing cards with Rose. She considered Rose a great friend.
